The area remains largely unspoiled by commercialism and lies at the southern end of Chapman’s Peak Drive, located between Hout Bay and Kommetjie.
The Three Bays and Cape Peninsula tours fly overhead the rustic and rugged landscape of Noordhoek, offering sweeping views of the chilly Atlantic, Chapman’s Peak Drive, as well as the smattering of luxury homes and modest cottages in the vicinity. The charming Long Beach covers a stretch of eight-kilometres and is bordered by wetlands that eventually link up with Kommetjie. Crowds flock to Noordhoek during the summer months for beach activities like windsurfing and horse-back riding. Look out for the lighthouse located on the Kommetjie end of Long Beach, as well as the shell of the Kakapo shipwreck which decorates the beach front.
