The rocky Atlantic coastline is famed for its sheer cliffs and the nine-kilometre long Chapman’s Peak Drive that snakes its way along the coastline extending from Hout Bay through to Noordhoek, hailed as one of the most spectacular coastal routes in the world. While marvelling at Chapman’s Peak – which is literally carved out of the mountainside – if you’re enjoying your scenic tour during whale season, scan the water for some Southern Right Whales. Additionally, spot the busy Hout Bay harbour and the picturesque beach which is always peaceful.
The ever-popular area of Hout Bay is located outside of Llandudno and bustles with activity and boasts plenty of attractions
About this area
We loved everything about the Hopper helicopter ride with NAC. From the pick up to the ride itself, it was absolutely amazing and one of our biggest highlights during our Cape Town trip.
