On the frontline
The National Airways Corporation, or NAC, is on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic in South Africa with the support of its partners and the passion of its dedicated servicemen and women.
WE ARE ALL IN THIS FIGHT TOGETHER
Over the last 30 years, NAC and Bell Helicopters have been in partnership to bring once-in-a-lifetime experiences to South Africans and international tourists alike, but now with the current global crises that face us all, they have transitioned from the largest general aviation operator in Africa to emergency and mission-critical helicopter provider.
The medical personnel and helicopter maintenance staff transport patients as well as supplies amidst the chaotic landscape with the goal of providing aid wherever possible.
We are extremely proud to be assisting our country, and the world at large, by way of our Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) operations as we aim to impact the spread of this virus through the global community.
The stakes have never been higher, and the challenges seem insurmountable at times, but it’s the brave healthcare workers and helicopter operators who are battling the COVID-19 crises every day that we can truly be thankful for. These inspiring individuals put themselves at risk to help save the lives of many.
Thank you to each and every member of the NAC family and to partners like Bell whose incredible helicopters make it all possible.
